DaTefilah

It is my pleasure to experience of creating a virtual Siddur with my class Using VoiceThreads
I chose VoiceThreads because it’s an effective comunication tool. Every child will have their own account. I can record each child reading and chanting the Tefillot. Parents and siblings can hear and follow what are we doing in Tefillah.
The childern are creating together with their teacher their own “class virtual Siddur.”

By using VoiceThread as a visual literacy tool students are more engaged, on task, and excited about learning. Students can interact with the program on an individual basis, and can progress at their own rate. The program will create more parent involvement by being available on the Internet. It is hoped that the entire family will benefit from accessing the VoiceThread and creating a family learning experience. Family members around the world can be part of this experience.
I believe my program will bring Hebrew reading and Tefillah practice to the 21st century.
Research has shown that when pictures and voiceovers (visual literacy) are combined children process the meaning easily, their retention rate is significantly increased, and the transfer of knowledge is boosted.
I am planning to create the VoiceThread with decoding pages photographs and pictures drawn by the students about Tefillah and any other subject taught.
